Mobile Closings

How does a mobile closing work?

A mobile closing follows the same format as a traditional home closing, except they will come to you.

Benefits when having a mobile closing:

  • Coordinating schedules for those involved
  • Ability to choose a location
  • Extended hours for service
  • Quicker turn around

Traditional Title Closing

Most of the time, traditional closings take place at the title/escrow company, attorney, or mortgage lender’s office during business hours.

Their office hours are usually 9 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The same as most everyone else’s working hours occur. Individuals typically have to take time off from work to attend their home closing.

Escrow Officers not only have restricted business hours but are also limited to office availability. Only so many transactions can be scheduled per day in the conference room designated for closings. Plus, it is common for title companies to have more than one Escrow Officer working at a single location. Not to mention the varying times, if there is an issue when closing on a home, it can cause delays and run over the scheduled time allowance. With limited office hours and sharing a space, you are at their mercy for availability.

Mobile Title Closing

With mobile closings, the client has a choice of where to close. It could literally be anywhere, at their home, workplace, restaurant, or parking lot.

Extended hours of operation mean taking off from work is not necessary. Mobile closings provide convenience and keep up with our fast-paced lifestyle. So transactions can take place after work and even on the weekends.

Escrow Officers are not confined to an office during a mobile closing, which in turn means more availability when scheduling a home closing. In fact, a mobile notary is really all that is needed. Once the signatures are confirmed, the documents will be reviewed and processed back at the main office. So it is almost like they can be in several locations at once!
