Location
Lago vista is found just south of the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Area. It’s just north of Bee Cave and about 34 miles from Austin, Texas.
The community is located on the northern shore of Lake Travis with several larger surrounding communities. Leander and Cedar Park are found just to the east, while Spicewood is found to the west. Lakeway is across the lake to the south and Bertram is found to the north.

Five private lakeside parks are found within the community. These parks offer marinas, swimming options, clubhouses, fitness centers, and more. The Lago Vista Golf Course also offers plenty of fun and so does The Highlands Lakes Golf Course.
Lago Vista is also known for many great annual events held throughout the years. The Balcones Songbird Festival and the Lago Fest are two of the most popular. Events are also helped on the Fourth of July and during the Christmas season.
